Feb 4, 2012 - A very good option, it makes perfect sense. It is like paying tax but you have a say where you want your tax money to go, and it is optional, which is great. You still might want to have insurance, but that is your choose. Now all we need to do now is get rid of the taxation system and you will have a perfect solution.

Feb 4, 2012 - Keep in mind that Medicare is not free health care. Every member pays premiums, and very high co-pays. A simple Emergency Room visit cost some one on Medicare $300 to $500 if the problem is minor. That is their out of pocket expense. No Dental. No Prescription without additional insurance. You can go bankrupt on the prescription costs alone. No eye care. This is actually a pretty poor health plan, but it is better than no health plan at all.
