Zendrig Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - So why did you fight the cold war?

Zendrig Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - agreed

canisfamilliaris Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - @calimar28 Here's an idea, stop fighting pointless wars in pointless places and use that money to fund universal healthcare for all.

treez78 Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - for many reasons, one of which was the liberty of the common man

TheUSMetalhead Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - It wouldn't happen with that attitude no, most Americans are clueless on what they're missing with single-pay. If you're talking an actual vote of the people, it would pass overwhelmingly, I'd say at least 70%, but if you're referring to a congressional vote, none of the republicans would vote yes, about half of the democrats would vote no being they're indebted to the corporate world as are the republicans. As for thousands of private jobs being lost, what's new? Our health is not a business!

WesSideCali Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - I think health care should be a constitutional right, but it's not, not in the US. We live in the "beacon of capitalism" in the US, and the idea of single payer will scare/anger many libertarian types(on the left and right).I think the best option is opening medicare at going rate for all under 65. There is a place for private industry in health care, innovation.

Zendrig Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - So let me get this right: You're in favor of sending people to WAR, but you think it infringes upon their liberties if they paid a tax to provide HEALTHcare for themselves and their fellow countrymen? Whatever happended to charity and patriotism? btw: There was a brilliant commentary this week on the BBC: "This healthcare plan, which European countries would reject because it's far too conservative and right-wing, is somehow considered 'socialistic' in the US." You're successfully indoctrinated.

treez78 Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - zendrigi appreciate the sharing of information but ur question of "why did you fight the cold war" came out of nowhere. then, with ur next response, u say i favor sending people to war. dude, please, if u want to have a legitimate conversation, im game. if u truly want to understand a different point of view, i will share it with you. if you only want to make accusations and trap me into arguments which u already have the answers for, please chat with someone else. thank you

Zendrig Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - Ok, I can see how my response could seem a little polemic. For that I apologize. But I don't see how my question was out of nowhere because you specifically wrote: "i dont think u understand why we fought the cold war and against socialism for so many years" Now let me ask you: Does your apparent aversion to socialism (whatever that is) also make you reject social security? And if so, aren't you lumping together two different things here?

popecorkyxxiv Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - This dude should run for president. He's a democrat with balls, such a rare thing.

TheUSMetalhead Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - I could definitely live with your idea on medicare, and I understand the single-payer will never stand a chance in our congress being it's mostly controlled by corporations already and only set to get worse especially with the supreme court on their side with the free speech ruling. Innovation and research are about the only reasons to keep health care partially private, but as for majority control, private it should not be. Libertarians. lol They represent less people than my man Nader.

steveoah Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - YouTube notified me that RepAlanGrayson just favorited this video. :)

talllikelurchis Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - when Grayson had just turned thirty and while working for the Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson law firm, he spent time in the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. What the cause of this stay ,Grayson was extremely combative with fellow employees, including slapping a female intern in the face.

MrDan401k Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - this is GREAT but with people like Nelson & Libberman this will never happen. :( I think the republicans are never ever going to represent us so i didnt try to mention them!!!!!!!!!!

TheBladeGamer Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - @talllikelurchis That may be true, I don't have the time to look it up, don't care to. It doesn't matter how many stupid mistakes he makes in his personal life, what matters is what he does for the country. Bush was addicted to cocaine, Laura Bush killed someone by purposely running a stoplight. Why don't you use that against the people you support? EVERYONE makes mistakes, and saying that government figures aren't allowed to make mistakes in their life is like denying that they're human beings.

Lobos222 Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - @ZendrigNicely said.Maybe the Republican saying, in regards to the US troops, should be:"Support the troops, unless they get sick!"

quantass Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - Grayson is a FIGHTER...Love this guy!

SgtSprayin Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - Haha Grayson watches TYT and favorited lots of their videos. Hopefully more congressmen do the same.

talllikelurchis Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - @TheBladeGamer Victimizing people with violent assaults are not mistakes! When you attack someone it's on purpose It just shows his characteras a person!

hentia2 Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - Some people just need to be slapped.

TheKevinWalker Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - And I care why? It's the same story as Tom Eagleton. As long as he can faithfully serve then his mental problems are not.

MrDan401k Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - god damn tea baggers would never support because it is a "government take over", Bull shit, dont they know what OPTION means??

TAz69x Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - Standing ovation for that speech.

youbestbequiet Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - This crackpot is still talking? Does anyone besides the unemployed and uneducated even listen to him? He's gone in November anyway. Just goes to show what repeated drug use mixed with alcohol during pregnancy can produce as a child at birth.

southsydney Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - speaking from a non american view, u need more guys like grayson. he obviously gives a damn about the public and that, from my knowledge, trumps most of your senators. Brains, a heart and stainless steel balls is what this guy has. you yanks arent bad, but sometimes u dont pick a winner when u really need to.
